Band Saw Blade Quality you can Count On!

Sawing or cutting technology: Only experts know what complex technological procedures and requirements are hiding behind those words! Demands in todays sawing and cutting operations are extremely high. The right choice of a quality band saw blade improves cutting performance and accuracy and saves time, resources and production costs. Whether it concerns newly developed materials or new cognitions in cutting technology, TECSAW is always on top of the game and able to provide the best blade for your specific application.

Automatic storage and retrieval system:

TECSAW has invested heavily into a new warehouse system. This fully automatic storage and retrieval system is the first of its kind in Canada and holds a huge inventory of finished band saw blades and coils. With up to 66 picks per hour it offers fast access to the material in order to achieve shortest delievery times.

Fully automatic cut to length machine:

After retrieving coil stock out of the system the blades are cut on our fully automatic cut to length machine according to your order. This guarantees highest accuracy and a clean cut that is important for the quality of the weld.

The welding preparation:

For best quality our welders are trained by WIKUS, the saw blade manufacturer and IDEAL, the manufacturer of the welding machines. To be absolutely sure the machines are in perfect condition, each machine has to weld a test piece every day at the beginning of the shift before processing daily orders.

The actual welding process:

TECSAW only uses high quality IDEAL welding machines. Unlike most other welding machines our IDEAL welders use a special automatic thyristor annealing process, which is the secret of a high quality weld. To ensure these machines maintain their quality, IDEAL sends a representative to inspect and re-calibrate the machines on a regular basis.

Grinding the weld:

After the welding process the weld is cleaned by grinding off the weld built-up.

Quality check & testing:

TECSAW runs every blade through a rigorous testing program on a machine that exposes the blade to heavy bending loads to test the welded joint. Most blades have the cutting edge sealed with a plastic edge, which is applied on a specially designed machine. This edge guarding protects the cutting edge against damage and is safer for handling.
