CONTINUOUS OUTPUT As a leading manufacturer of automated flow and storage technology, we focus on the essentials: keeping the transportation of materials on the move efficiently and dependably. Attention to detail and intelligent design maximize the critical parameter - one hundred percent reliability. Extreme conditions such as temperatures up to minus 22?F (minus 30?C) or high dust concentrations are not a challenge to the reliability of TGW systems. Customized solutions based on sophisticated modular construction methods, a broad product line, and simple maintenance maximize the universal principle of conveyors - to transport all kinds or quality of pallets, grid boxes, roller containers and the like quickly, flexibly, safely and economically. By optimising zero pressure accumulation zones, low wear pallet transportation with overlapping chain components, proven high-performance technology and an interchangeable standard parts concept TGW guarantees minimal stocking of spare parts, low overall costs, and above all - no standstill. The use of TGW's modular componentry combined with a long history of field proven experience, allows us to set new standards for performance, precision, reliability, handling and efficiency in the pallet transportation industry. |

INTERFACE IN THE MOST PRODUCTIVE AREA The interface between man and machine is often the most sensitive area in a materials flow system. So ergonomic requirements are an important factor even at the initial design stage of TGW pallet conveyor systems. All interface details are taken into account to achieve maximum efficiency and thus keep logistics costs down. Catering for real people is a complex business. Should the gripping space be horizontal or vertical? Where should the monitoring and control units be placed? What about lighting? Colour? What physical or mental performance limits are involved? Our system designs have to take all these into account. To get the optimum individual gripping and storage heights, TGW uses lift tables. That's to ensure pallets get manually or automatically to the correct working heights. So that gripping zones do not move out of gauge, swivelling security devices are used. Contact surfaces are finished with wood, plastic and padding to achieve optimum operating comfort. The improved feel produces better performance from operators. Screws, sharp corners and edges are smoothed over by TGW. At the point of transfer, floor-level loading stations make removal with hand forklifts, electric lift-trucks or stacker cranes easier. A monitoring device checks pallet quality and guarantees that only acceptable pallets are conveyed into the automated system. |

#1 Roller Conveyors Roller conveyors are used to transport pallets, grid boxes and similar conveyor goods with unit weights of up to 3,300 lbs (1,500 kg). Their modular construction means they can be individually adapted to the conveyed goods. |
![]() |
#2 Chain Conveyors Chain conveyors can be used for conveying pallets, grid boxes and similar items both crosswise and lengthwise. This optimized conveyor system provides the ultimate in transport quality and availability. Special features include overlapping chain crossovers and easy-to-use chain tensioners. |

#3 Accumulation Roller Conveyors Accumulation roller conveyors in mechanical and pneumatic versions are used for zero pressure accumulation zones of pallets, grid boxes and other load handling items. This helps to even out fluctuations in output, perform dispatch buffering or provide powered flow racks. |

#4 Transfer Cars By combining several load carriers (e.g. roller conveyor, chain conveyor, Muli satellite vehicle etc.), single or double transfer cars can be customized for special requirements. The frequency-controlled drive system allows controlled acceleration, deceleration, and precise positioning. Quiet operation is an additional benefit. |

#5 Strap Lifts These vertical conveyors are extremely quiet and can be used for any number of stopping positions. They can be combined with various load carriers (chain conveyor, roller conveyor, etc.), and can be equipped to use two load carriers simultaneously. Frequency controlled drives mean controlled acceleration, braking, and exact positioning are possible without reducing maximum performance. |

#6 Roller Lift Tables These high-performance units for in/out transfers achieve a nodal throughput of up to 300 pallets an hour. Alignment processes are possible during the in/out transfer process. Roller lift tables can also be used as an offset device between parallel tracks for special functions such as a transfer to a stacker crane. |

#7 Chain Transfer These in/out transfer units are used as a connecting or transfer module between roller and chain conveyors. The overlapping chain feature to the next chain conveyor provides continuous, smooth transport of pallets. The chain output system (swivel device) is very economical because of the low number of drives involved. |

#8 Turntables Turntables are used for changing direction or turning goods on the conveyor. The modular construction allows optimum adjustment to varying applications. Roller or chain conveyors with or without a shift unit act as load carriers. |

#9 Chain Lift Tables Chain lift tables are in/out transfer units used mainly in plants where pure chain conveyor systems are used because of the poor quality of the pallets conveyed. Integrated backstops are provided to allow for the alignment process with this unit. Chain lift tables can also offset pallets and transfer them to stacker cranes. |

More Details MAXIMUM RELIABILITY IS REFLECTED IN THE DETAIL: It is the sum of all the details that results in the outstanding performance of TGW pallet conveyor systems. Behind the reliability of TGW systems are specialized expertise and constant controlling. Here are some examples of the fine detail of TGW technology. |

The Zero Pressure Accumulation Zone An even distance between buffered pallets in the zones prevents conveyed goods from being damaged and reduces pallet wear. |

The Support Rollers Optionally installed roller rails allow older, heavily-used pallets to remain serviceable. This extends the life of the pallets. |
![]() |
The Tension Station The chain tension can be easily adjusted by maintenance personnel with a handwheel - no special tool is needed. This feature also ensures that tension is never set too high, thus prolonging the life of the chain, as well as, reducing power usage. |

The Transfer Points of the Chain Conveyor The overlapping chains and plastic covering means that pallets are always conveyed smoothly. That reduces pallet wear and at the same time cuts out vibration and jarring. |
